Team Interview: Claudia Ikome Likambi
The team at BotsAndUs is fully-equipped with all the necessary skills to bring a full-stack solution to market. Although as a tech company, we need to make sure that we speak in a language that everyone understands.
Bringing our Robots to life is one thing, integrating them into a customer journey that makes it easy to understand their abilities is another story. Our latest member Claudia Ikome Likambi just joined the team as Marketing and Communications Manager. Her creativity and imagination will help us develop our product and brand story in order to speak in a language that our customers can understand.
What is your role at BotsAndUs and what key areas are you working on?
I am the Marketing and Communications Manager at BotsAndUs. You can look at me as the communications engineer of the team. My role comprises everything across the communication spectrum that you can think of. Developing and managing the social media channels of the business, creating content, PR, liaising with various stakeholders to ensure brand growth, brand positioning and event organisation, and development of our marketing strategy. It is all about creating a narrative about our products to create awareness and leads.
Why did you choose robotics and what use cases are you most excited about?
I wanted to join a start-up that is operating in an industry with potential. For me robotics and AI are exactly what form our future in a way that allows businesses to reach their goals but also keep their employees safe. Just look at the ecommerce side of things. If there is one thing that changed over the last year it is the consumer behaviour and that online shopping is no longer on the rise but on its peak with the intent to stay. This is for me an use case of how our products support logistics and businesses to keep up with the demands, improve efficiency and at the same time make sure their staff can perform at optimum levels.
What new technology or innovation has recently caught your attention?
It is not the new technology, but rather how we bring together innovation and humans to collaborate for maximum efficiency and business success.
What qualities are most important to perform well in your field?
As a marketer it is crucial to stay open to new ideas and ways of doing things. Flexibility and openness, sprinkled with a huge pint of willingness to change and make errors. It is all about improvement. Growth doesn’t come from doing the same things over and over again. Marketing is a highly fast changing area. In order to be the innovators and leaders that we are we need to make sure we apply this entrepreneurial spirit to everything we do.
